First Way: Setting Up a Basic Email

Start simple. UChat’s intuitive interface makes creating a regular email quick and painless. Here’s how:

First go to the Email Node in your bot’s flow builder by right clicking the empty space then selecting email like following:

Afterwards you need to select your email profile. Make sure that you connected your account under the integrations section of your workspace with either smtp, gmail or Sendgrid. Once done you will see a similar dropdown like below for all the connections that you made.

Next up is the Send To field. Here you can enter the receiver's email address by either static email or use the system field Email to fetch it dynamically when the flow is actually run by that user. Do make sure that the bot user is opted in for email in order to send it succesfully to them.

Then we have the email subject and the preheader sections. From here Write your subject line for the email. Try to make it enticing for users to click on the email. and pre-header if aplicable. Preheaders can be good to give a little more details adding to that enticing factor to get people interested and curious about what's inside. You can add custom variables like {{first_name}} to make your emails feel more personalized.

Then just add your body content of the email and just like that, In just minutes, you’ll have a clean, effective email ready to go.

Second Way: Designing Email Templates Like a Pro

Want to take things up a notch? UChat allows you to create stunning email templates that match your brand. We have a built-in email builder similar to what other popular software have. You can drag and drop or even choose from one of the already designed templates, making it easy to create new beautiful looking emails in a manner of minutes.

Let's go over how to do just that!

Navigate to the My Contents -> Email Templates or from chatbot menu -› contents -› email templates and create a New Email Template in your UChat account.

You can start with a blank template and drag and drop elements like images, text boxes, buttons, and more as you can see here below. You can determine whether to go with one column at a time, have a two or three column layout to provide more diversity in the design of your email, making it visually more appealing to read them.

If that sounds like a lot of work and taking up to much of your time then there is another option. There is also a section where you can choose from the preset and ready to go templates in the top left corner.

The list goes on and on so do take a look yourself and the choices that best fit your use case.

Let's grab an example and check an email for a payment confirmation where you can adjust the colors, insert variables to make it more personalized within just a few easy steps.

You can customize your images like the logo on top of the email with yours, match the colors to your branding and once done you can save your template for future use. You can then choose it from the flow builder and reuse it across multiple campaigns to save time.
