So we have a lot to cover this week. From many, many videos to updates and new documentation that has been added and even a new blog article so not waste your time let's get you up to speed!

This week we added a total of 10 videos going over various features on the platform, making sure you get the most out of them. let's take a quick look

WhatsApp updates summary

Recently we brought quite a few updates to our WhatsApp channel and to make sure you are up to date with each one Matthew recorded a great summary overview for you.

As WhatsApp continues to provide more and more features which will be available globally we will be sure to bring them in asap for you to optimize the experience of your users inside of your chatbots.

Setting up UTM & Affiliate tracking for partners

Recently we released a html script addon that allows you to do all kinds of amazing things. An example is to add UTM but also affiliate tracking to drive more revenue for you down the line. But we also understand this can come over as something very developer like to set up and become overwhelming real fast.

That is why Matthew recorded a step by step process on how you can set this up for your own partner account. It really is a perfect guide if you want to get into things such as this so have a look

Debugging your chatbot

When we receive tickets the most common topic is about chatbots not working. From those tickets the majority often the issue can be found by basic troubleshooting from your end without needing to wait on support to do the same.

To help you go through the basic steps we recorded a video for you that could allow you to troubleshoot your own chatbots much faster going forward.

Blacklisting phone numbers

Now this sounds more ominous that intended I promise 😁

But this is a new feature that we recently introduced for the SMS channel. It will help you keep compliant with privacy regulations by ensuring the chatbot cannot send out any messages by chance to users who opted out or you disqualified as a lead.

here is how it works

Pretty great feature if you ask me to have the reassurance that you won't be sending out messages to people by mistake.

So what's next?

We have have recorded a few videos that will also go directly into our documentation and our tooltips to display directly inside the platform to clarify certain sections.

As we have a few providers for you to choose from it is important to know where you can find them inside the workspace as well as the step by step walkthrough in our documentation.

Update to Google Sheets integration

Recently a few things changed when connecting to Google Sheets and you need to be aware of this in order to ensure your chatbot is able to keep reading those Google Sheets properly.

So to help with that we recorded this video for you

Levelling up your Facebook chatbots

Not many users know this but UChat provides much more than just reply to pm messages of the page. We have added what is called the Facebook API inside the flow builder for you to level up the feature set of what you can achieve with your chatbots for your Facebook page.

Think of things like creating Facebook posts, getting leadform signups and automate follow ups.

Let's go over the available options and where to find them

Now tell me this isn't the coolest thing ever! I have personally used it to create a social media content machine to automatically post for me on my main Facebook page.

So many options to explore so have fun doing it 🤩

Boosting your Instagram chatbots

Similar to the Facebook API we also have the same for Instagram. Although less options are available it is still an amazing way to level up your chatbots for this channel as well so have a look

Building your omnichannel bot

Omnichannel is just great as you can create just one chatbot to manage various channels at the same time. However there were some doubts on how to create it and how to set it up. Especially when to use what feature for which channel as not all are supported for every one.

Platform Updates

So updates hmm let's see where did I leave those.... Ah!

here goes!

Upload your files to S3 Storage

As there are some channels which have a limited expiry time for retaining media files we added a new action that whenever you want to save a media file you receive from users you can save it directly to your S3 Storage

This ensures you do not have to worry about losing any important files like invoices, medical information that is sent as file through the chatbot.

Edit published WhatsApp flow screens

Previously you could only edit flow screens while they were not published yet. We realized this might be a bit frustrating when needing to make changes so we now enabled editing of the screens even when they are published

This way you won't have to go back and forth in your business manager to make the adjustments needed and can do it straight from UChat.

Instagram ad referral

Upon request of users we also added a new trigger to be fired for Instagram ads.

Soon as a user clicks from an Instagram ad this trigger will fire making sure you get all the info reference from the ad they came from and you can follow up accordingly

Determine length of chat history

Inside the bot user API action inside the flow builder you are able to fetch the conversation history of the user. We have added a new section where you can determine how many hours worth of history you want to fetch.

This gives you more flexibility on the length of history you want to save and export.

New AI platform integrated

We have made X AI (also known as Grok by Elon Musk) part of the native integrations of AI solutions inside of UChat.

I did some initial testing and the results for conversational based replies were pretty good. Looking forward to experiment some more this coming few weeks to see how it performs in various use cases.

Documentation updates

We also been working on expanding our documentation so you will always have a place to check in on features and possible troubleshooting solutions.

this week we managed to update and create the following:

Resolution times

A feature used for analytics but also important to understand how it works properly so we recently updated and expanded on this topic which you can read here

Errors

We have made updates here to add sections like error log explanation but also we have built an extensive knowledgebase of registered errors, what they mean and recommendation how to possibly prevent or resolve them.

Partner API

In order for partners to set up more advanced automations we have created documentation on the partner API to shed more clarity on what it does and how to use it.

IP Whitelisting

We have a partner addon to whitelist certain ip addresses to limit the access to access the platform. For example if you only want your employees to log in from the office location this is a perfect way of doing so. We documented this for you to ensure you know how to use it.

New Blog

We also published a new blog regarding WhatsApp flows. How they can help you improve your customer experience and add additional features to your WhatsApp chatbots.
